He was back! The Oda Princess was moving slightly slower then the crowds as she stayed away from the crowds and the different smells that were often found in them. Everything gave her a slightly greenish appearance these days. Today however she was smiling. She was off to the side waiting for her turn to welcome him back. She hoped that he wouldn’t write her distance from the crowd off, and think she was not waiting for him as well.
Finally the crowd disappeared around them and she was left standing off to the side when their eyes met. He was now smiling as he causally strode her way. He went to reach out to her to pull her into a hug. “Please don’t.” She pleased, “I want nothing more than to be in your arms but please wash first. You smell like a horse. A sweaty horse.” She almost started gagging at the overwhelming smell. “I promise After you wash and change I will tell you a secret.”
“What do you have to tell me, lass?” He asked as he strode i to the room in fresh clothes and was towel drying is hair. She looked up and smiled at him.
“Thank you for doing that for me. Smells have become overwhelming to me lately.” She said.
“Why is that?” He asked as he looked at her sitting before him.
“Do you remember right before you left?” She smiled.
“Of course, kitten.” He replied with his grin.
“Well we made a kitten that night.” She said.
“What?” He asked.
“Masamune i am with child. Your child.” She replied as she watched the thought process as it because real in His head. His eye lit up to a burning blue.
“This is not a joke?” He asked.
“No.” She replied. Soon she found herselfni his arms as he swung her around.
“We are going to have a kitten!” He said laughing.
“You are not the master of secrets, my dear, sonout with it.” He said as he walked in the door. He was cleanly dressed now in his normal white robes. She looked up at him and smiled.
“Don’t like not knowing?” She asked.
“What makes you think I don’t know already?” He asked back.
“Then what is my secret Mitsuhide?” She asked.
“Simple. You have taken another lover.” He replied in a tone that implied he didn’t care.
“Strike one.” She said.
“What does that mean?” He asked.
“That you were wrong. Three strikes and your out. It is from a game called baseball in my time.” She replied.
“That you have made the whole time travel thing up and are really a spy?” He asked again in to e that was feigned indifference.
“Strike two.”, she said still smiling at him, “come on Mitsuhide you are supposed to be a mind reader.”
“Very funny.” He replied.
“One last guess.” She said.
“You plan on killing me.” He said shrugging his shoulders.
“There are times…. strike three.” She replied.
He inched closer to her on the mats. “What is your secret, my love?”
“You are going to be a father Mitsuhide.” She said.
“What?” He asked as he tried to school is features into hiding the surprise and shock from his eyes.
“That night before you left. We made a child.” She said with a soft smile.
“We did?” He asked not caring if his mask slipped.
“We did.” She nodded to get the point across. She found herself crushed in his arms as he pulled her closer.
“You foolish girl.” He said as he kissed her hard.
“I love you too.” She replied as she giggled.
“Our cub is here?” He asked as he splayed his hand on her abdomen. He nodded and placed her hands over his. “Our cub.”
