Local Shrine

While we were pleased to discover a serene local mountain shrine, it was nothing compared to the excitement of seeing two local itachi (stoat) cross our paths as we wandered the forest path.

Unfortunately, we were too stunned to get the camera out quick enough, as we stood no more than a few meters from one cute itachi – as it looked at us, like the one above.
